The heart of any community are those warriors who dedicate their lives to feeding, building, serving, and defending it.
The farm and construction laborers. The first responders. The veterans of the armed forces. And MEN in other arenas of life who are role models by becoming better men, husbands, fathers, leaders. In themselves, in their families, in their communities, in their spheres of influence.
We honor these LEADERS as WARRIORS TOGETHER.
The MEN in these arenas, or in any arena, experience the highest rate of mental health challenges and suicide. MEN tend to internalize and bottle up the pressure, until that bottle explodes.
We are WARRIORS TOGETHER in a battle of the mind, a battle for mental health, a battle to be resilient, a battle against suicidal ideation.
The negative ripple:
Husbands and Wives. Parents and Children. Brothers and Sisters. Peers and Coworkers.
When a man dies because of suicide, tonight a wife, son, and daughter sit at a dinner table where there's an empty seat. At bedtime, dad doesn't come in for that last snuggle. At Christmas there's an empty stocking. At a dance competition or football game, dad's voice isn't there cheering them on as they beam with pride.
We are all WARRIORS TOGETHER - a MEN's peer support brotherhood, MEN who start, lead, and grow small local direct action meetups called Fire-to-Fire. We celebrate our wins together, and walk out our struggles together. We rebuild ourselves as multi-dimensional men in the foundational 6-Pillars to RISE and BECOME resilient, and we stand by our brothers to help them rebuild themselves too.
Warriors Together is a statement.
You are not alone. There is hope. There is support. We are resilient when we talk it out and walk it out together.
